We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Wuxi. We have an immediate opening for:

Manufacturing Engineer

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND KEY CHALLENGES:

Objective of this position is define and develop assembly processes on system integration with mechanical part assembly, harness routing and connection as well FW downloading, unit test, packing etc. work. Implement SOP in manufacturing site, establish standard labor time and create a lean production line then achieve target of automated assembly. Key objective is setup up/maintain process to ensure very high quality and low scrap rate in all phases of processes from assembly to final assembly, testing and packing.

Key challenges are to implement Poka-Yoke principles and minimize operator dependency in very wide product portfolio assembly manufacturing. Additional challenge is to support product modification (PM) and product creation (PC) process to successful transfer new products into mass volume phase. To have successful outcome, capability to work effectively and intensive cooperation with production, Logistics, Sourcing and R&D is essential.

Additional task and responsibilities as needed to fulfill department objectives.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years process engineering relevant assembly, system integration, hands-on equipment experience would be advantageous.
  • “Out-of-box” thinking mindset – , proficient in lean manufacturing tools and apply DFM methodology to define assembly process and line layout.
  • Able to use quality tools like DOE, Six Sigma, 5 WHYs, etc. for problem solving and deep dive to root cause complex quality issues.
  • Fluent communicating in English both written and verbal.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechatronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Desirable

  • Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with ‘can do’ attitudes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently to meet timeline. Driver/utility interfacing, Native DLL, COM, ActiveX, Sockets
  • SQL Server administration, SQL Statement, Stored Procedures
  • SQL Server Reporting Services administration and report design
  • SQL Server Integration Services, data warehouse design and development
  • IIS administration and development.
