The X-Scan LCS is a powerful linear array detector for high-energy X-ray imaging applications utilizing linear accelerators or betatrons as the radiation source. The detector can operate in non-continuous mode for use with linear accelerators and betatrons, or continuous mode for X-ray tubes and other continuous sources. The detection element is formed by pixelated cadmium tungstate (CdWO4) or cesium iodide (CsI) scintillators coupled to low-leakage silicon photodiodes.
Lead alloy post-collimator and tungsten anti-scatter grids can be integrated into the detector module mechanics depending on customer system imaging geometry and requirements. DT also provides solutions for specific requirements using DT’s X-Scan design building blocks.
