Detection Technology Oy (DT) Board of Directors has appointed Hannu Martola as new President and CEO of Detection Technology beginning 18th June, 2007.

Martola has over 15years experience in global sensor business. Since 2001 until March 2007 he has been a President and CEO of VTI Technologies Oy and before that has held various managerial positions at VTI. He is 43 years old and holds a Master of Science in Engineering. Hannu Martola has served as a member of Board of Directors of Detection Technology since December, 2006.

The current CEO and co-founder Mika Niemi leaves his CEO position on 17th June, 2007 and continues as a member of the Board of Directors of Detection Technology Oy. Niemi has served a long time in the Board of Directors of the company and has held the position of CEO since November 2006. In addition to the CEO duties his task was to find a new CEO to the company.

Detection Technology Oy is a subsidiary of the GWS group, DT’s key management holds a minority ownership in the company.

Detection Technology Oy:n (DT) uudeksi toimitusjohtajaksi on nimitetty DI Hannu Martola (43). Martola ottaa toimitusjohtajan tehtävät vastaan 18.6.2007 alkaen.

Hannu Martolalla on yli 15 vuoden kokemus globaalista anturiliiketoiminnasta ja hän on vuodesta 2001 maaliskuuhun 2007 toiminut VTI Technologies Oy:n toimitusjohtajana ja ollut tätä ennen yhtiön eri johtotehtävissä. Martola on myös Detection Technology Oy:n hallituksen jäsen joulukuusta 2006 alkaen.

DT:n nykyinen toimitusjohtaja ja toinen yhtiön perustaja Mika Niemi jättää toimitusjohtajan tehtävät 17.6.2007 ja jatkaa yhtiön hallituksen jäsenenä. Toimittuaan pitkään yhtiön hallituksessa Niemi otti marraskuussa 2006 ylimenokauden ajaksi vastaan DT:n toimitusjohtajan tehtävät ja hänen tehtävänään oli toimitusjohtajan tehtävien lisäksi etsiä yhtiölle uusi toimitusjohtaja.
