High-Performance Diodes for Ionizing Radiation
Detection Technology offers two series of high-performance diodes optimized for X-rays and alpha, beta, and gamma radiation. Detection Technology's ultra-clean processing method provides excellent performance characteristics and high reliablity. The use of unique guard-ring concept offers impressive performance improvements.
Product series XRA XRB
Description XRA-series high-resistivity diodes are optimized for ionizing radiation detection and measurement applications. These diodes are characterized by an excellent response to weakly penetrating radiation achieved by the use of high-purity starting material and special ultra-clean manufacturing process. Ultra-thin radiation entrance window provides optimized response to low-energy x-rays and heavy charged particles.
XRB-series high-resistivity diodes are optimized for ionizing radiation detection. Excellent performance is based on the use of a high-resistivity silicon starting material and a high-purity manufacturing process. High radiation tolerance and depressed light sensitivity are achieved by the use of a specially developed radiation entrance window processing.
